Westhills is located in Langford, which is on Southern Vancouver Island and is part of the Provincial Capital region of Victoria, British Columbia. Residents and visitors to this region enjoy the mildest climate in Canada, with an average of over 2,000 hours of sunshine per year.

The average annual rainfall for Victoria is 66.5 cm (26.2"), which is substantially less rain than both Vancouver and Seattle receive. Victoria receives the majority of its rainfall from January to March.  The average monthly rainfall in winter is 5 cm (2") and the average temperature in January is 3°C (38°F). Although winters are mild and rarely include snow, warmer clothing is recommended between the months of November and March.

Travel between Langford and Victoria varies according to the time of day, and there are a variety of options. Rail service operates northbound in the morning, southbound in the early evening and takes approximately 25 minutes. The region has an abundance of trails and dedicated bike routes. By bike, the trip takes approximately 25 minutes. Vehicle travel takes approximately 20–30 minutes

Westhills will no longer be hosting the Pacific Mobile Depot. It has been moved to Belmont Secondary School in the Staff parking lot (north parking lot) on Jacklin Road.
