Consumer confidence noted by Victoria Real Estate Board in February
The Victoria Real Estate Board says though this February’s sale volume was the same as February 2011, there appears to be consumer confidence with increased showings.
President Carol Crabb says showings have increased since the announcement of new HST transition rules, increased HST rebates and the New Home First-time Buyers’ Bonus.
248 sales were recorded in February 2011, with the same number of sales in February 2012.
The average price of a single family home in Greater Victoria sold last month was $579 985. In 2011 the price was $610 975.
