Victoria flower count passes midway point
It’s just over the midway point for the 2012 Victoria Flower Count, and so far, 630,064,556 have been tabulated.
That’s well over double the blossoms counted in 2011, but we still have a ways to go to beat the 2010 record of nearly 21.7 billion blooms.
Families are still being encouraged to get out and count local blooms.
The total for the 36th Annual Flower Count, and the best blooming city - will be revealed on Thursday, at 9:30 a.m.
Counts can still be entered right up until that time at www.flowercount.ca
