Forum on forests' future happens May 3 in Victoria
On May 3, a community forum will focus on the future of Juan de Fuca forest lands in the Capital Region.
A short film by Maeva Gauthier will be followed by speakers and discussion. It runs at 7 p.m. at the Ambrosia Event Centre, 638 Fisgard St.
The panel will feature David Anderson, former federal minister of the environment; Ben Parfitt, investigative journalist, author and long-time forest policy analyst with the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives; and Ken Wu, advocate for protection of old-growth forests.
